Symbian Developer Network ambassadors

Symbian Developer Network Ambassadors

Symbian Developer Network ambassadors are outstanding engineers from the Symbian community who we recognise for their outstanding expertise and participation in the Symbian developer community.

Our expectations for ambassadors

Symbian ambassadors earn recognition for having outstanding expertise in certain Symbian development areas, participating in various online and offline activities, and sharing and showcasing their knowledge with other SDN members.

We expect a Symbian ambassador to:

  • be active in the SDN/SDN++ forums
  • contribute whitepapers
  • review and provide feedback on booklets and articles
  • submit example code
  • contribute to the SCN/SDN++ newsletters
  • be an advocate for Symbian development
  • present at developer events, representing the Symbian Developer Network

Every six months Symbian will evaluate ambassador activities awarding Symbian ambassador membership to a limited number of top performers. The one-year membership in the Symbian ambassador program entitles members to take advantage of exclusive benefits.

Benefits of being an ambassador

Some of the benefits of the Symbian ambassador program include:

  • gifts and branded items
  • access to early technical material, such as booklets and demos
  • invitation to Symbian ambassador program events held twice a year
  • members profile page on SDN
  • focus in SCN newsletter
  • ambassador logo in members profile
  • one free Symbian exam
  • free Symbian Press books

The following is a list of current SDN ambassador members.

You can get to know to these people by participating in the SDN and SDN++ forums and by subscribing to the SCN newsletter.

If you think that you've got what it takes to become a Symbian ambassador, please send an email to sdnpp@symbian.com
